Primary (Grades 1-3)
Our Primary Grade program is offered on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00pm. Crafts, activities, games, movies, music, food and drama are incorporated to supplement the lesson to appeal to many learning styles and relay God’s message at an age appropriate level. We use the “Finding God” Catechetical Series published by Loyola Press for instruction and incorporate crafts, activities, games, movies, music, food and drama to enhance the lesson materials and help relay God’s message.
Our First Grade Class “Belonging” has special focus on God and His Gifts and a general introduction to our basic faith principals.
Our Second Grade Class “Sac Prep 1” has special focus on Jesus and Forgiveness. This class also prepares for and receives the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent.
Our Third Grade Class “Sac Prep 2” has special focus on the Church Community. This class also prepares for and receives the Sacrament of Eucharist after the Easter Season.
Peacemakers (Grades 4 & 5)
Our Peacemaker Program is offered on Tuesday afternoons (along with our primary grades) from 3:30-5:00pm. Children study Christian Morality, the Sacraments, Scripture and Catholic Traditions.
Peacemakers are also introduced to parish ministries and assist in outreach projects such as making Valentines Day cards for the elderly at our local retirement home, holding a coat or blanket drive, or having a bake sale after mass to raise funds for disaster relief victims all over the world.
